Cushion Moss, Leucobryum glaucum
This moss is named for its growth pattern, looking like little cushions dotting the landscape, sometimes growing as broad as 2 feet across and up to 5 inches high! Its coloring ranges from a blueish green to medium green with older stems turning brown with age.
